The DCHS Homecoming Queen for 2015 is Hannah Renea Walker.
Walker is the 17-year-old daughter of Scott and Misty Walker of Smithville, and is a senior at DCHS. She is active in the Beta Club, FBLA, Science Club, Student Council, Spanish Club, and the Literature Club. She also plays Tigerette Softball and is a football cheerleader. She has been class secretary for three years, was nominated for the All-American Cheer Squad, and enjoys attending church.
Her Senior Attendants are 17-year-old Jailyn Paige Bolding and 17-year-old Kaylene Marie Ferguson.
Bolding is the daughter of Lori and Bradley Hendrix and Brad and Marcy Bolding, all of Smithville. She is starting point guard for the Lady Tigers basketball team and a four-year football manager. She was selected as one of 20 outstanding seniors in 2015, was a freshman homecoming attendant, was chosen for the Coaches Award for the past two years, and received the Defensive MVP as a junior. She has been a Beta Club and Literature Club member for the last two years, is a member of the science club, and attends Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Ferguson is the daughter of Diane and Rickey Hale and James Ferguson of Smithville. She is a four-year captain on the basketball cheer team, a two-year football manager, received the STAR award in her freshman year cheering, was selected as one of 20 outstanding seniors in 2015, was a homecoming attendant in her junior year, and attends Smithville Freewill Baptist Church.
The Junior Attendant is 16-year-old Kaitlyn Elizabeth Roller, daughter of John and Michelle Roller of Dowelltown. Roller has been an All-Star Cheerleader since seventh grade, is currently on the Level-5 team at Premier Athletics in Franklin, won the NCA nationals in Dallas in 2012, has earned NCA All-American status three years straight, and has won the JUMP Award for the last two years.
She is a member of the Spanish and Literature clubs, has been a football cheerleader for three years, and is an active member of her youth group at New Life Pentecostal Church, and volunteers for the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure.
The Sophomore Attendant is Breanna Leigh Gibson, the 15-year-old daughter of Shelley and Erin of Dowelltown. Gibson is a football cheerleader, a member of FBLA and the Science and Spanish clubs, was freshman class favorite and is sophomore class secretary.
She won the Citizenship Award, is a 2015 All-American Team member, and attends Salem Baptist
Lynlee Taryn Judkins is the Freshman Attendant. She is the 14-year-old daughter of Shana Judkins of Smithville. Judkins was elected Freshman Class Favorite, and she attends The River Community Service in Cookeville, as well as meeting monthly at Rising Above Ministries, a special needs service.
Meanwhile, homecoming will be observed all next week at DCHS, with Spirit Week activities being held every day. The annual Homecoming Bonfire will be held Thursday at 7 p.m., and the Homecoming Dance will take place afterward.
The Homecoming Parade will pass through town just after 1 p.m. on Sept. 25, and the Tiger Homecoming game against Macon County will kick off at 7 p.m. that night.
