An Alexandria man faces domestic assault charges after he allegedly beat his stepfather Saturday night. Robert Earl Watley, Jr., 24, was charged with domestic assault and violation of an order of protection.According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, Watley assaulted his step-father at a Possum Hollow Road home while the victim was in bed. Watley allegedly jumped on top of the man and struck him in the head with his fists, causing physical injuries.
