Friends and loved ones gathered for a prayer vigil for Smithville-DeKalb County Chamber of Commerce Director Suzanne Williams who was injured in a serious fall Thursday which crushed her larynx. At the time, she was attending a conference in Gatlinburg.Williams was injured in a fall where her throat took the impact leaving her unable to breathe on her own. Doctors had hoped the swelling would go down on its own, but had to perform a tracheotomy Monday afternoon.
