A local woman has been arrested by the sheriff’s department and charged with two counts of domestic assault after she allegedly assaulted her daughter and son-in-law.
Cathy Ann Cuttrell, 43, was arrested on Jan. 17 when a deputy responded to reports of a physical domestic assault at a Parkway Drive home. According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, the officer spoke with a woman who said that Cuttrell, her mother, had punched her in the chest.
The victim reportedly had visible marks on her chest and neck area. An investigation determined that Cuttrell also assaulted the victim’s husband, hitting him on the ear. The man reportedly had visible marks on his ear.
Her bond was set at $3,000, and her court date is Feb. 9.
Meanwhile, Nathan Jo Trapp, 33, has been charged with filing a false report while a prisoner at the jail.
Ray said that a detective received an inmate request form filled out by Trapp on Jan. 18, stating that he had been raped while in custody. An investigation determined that Trapp had not signed the form, and the sheriff said that Trapp later recanted his story, admitting that he had not been raped.
His bond was set at $1,500, and he will appear in court on Feb. 9.
Michael Lee Newell, 21, was charged with filing a false report after an investigation allegedly revealed that fraudulent transactions he reported were completed by Newell himself.
The sheriff said that on June 28 Newell filed a report claiming credit/debit card fraud on June 28, but video surveillance at Walmart revealed that Newell had used the credit/debit card himself. The case was investigated by a sheriff’s department detective.
His bond was set at $5,000, and he will appear in court on Feb. 9.
Ashley Tierra Horne, 26, of Antioch was charged with driving on a revoked license on Jan. 21.
Ray said a deputy on routine patrol spotted Horne’s vehicle on Highway 70 West. After central dispatch confirmed that the automobile was registered to Horne, the officer conducted a traffic stop. Horne was reportedly driving the vehicle with a revoked license.
A check confirmed that Horne’s license was revoked in Davidson County for failing to pay fines and court costs, and that she was cited on Jan. 1 for the same offense.
Her bond is $1,500, and her court date is Feb. 9.
William Morris, 49, was cited after he was allegedly found with Alprazolam pills during a traffic stop on Jan. 16.
The sheriff said that Morris was a passenger in a 1998 Oldsmobile pulled over by a deputy on Highway 70 West. After receiving consent to search the car, Morris was reportedly found to have three Alprazolam pills, a Schedule IV drug, in a silver container. Morris, who is on probation, will appear in court on Feb. 9
