Violet Tucker, 29, was airlifted after being injured in a Thursday morning collision with a utility pole in front of B and G Supply on Highway 70. Smithville police said Tucker was traveling west in a 1990 Ford Ranger when she left the road and ran head-on into the pole. She was transported from the scene by DeKalb EMS, then taken by Life Flight helicopter to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.
