A 30-year-old woman has been charged with child abuse or neglect after she was reportedly found passed out in a hot car with a two year old. Sheriff Patrick Ray said that Stacey Lee Woods was arrested after a deputy responding to a report of a woman asleep with a child in the vehicle Short Mountain Highway found woods, who showed signs of intoxication including slurred speech and unsteadiness, in the vehicle. Woods reportedly submitted to field sobriety tasks and performed poorly, and admitted to taking Xanax and Zoloft.
