A woman faces domestic assault charges after she slapped her husband as he was trying to stop her from committing suicide. The woman, Rebecca Joy Larue, 42, of Alexandria will appear in court on April 5 to answer to the charge of domestic assault for the incident. According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, deputies went to the Larue home on Hickman Road to investigate a report that someone had taken an overdose of pills.
