Woman ejected in crash
wreck young W SM

A one-car crash on Highway 288 resulted in a 41-year-old local woman being transported to DeKalb Community Hospital by EMS with a possible broken hip and other injuries. According to Trooper Troy Withers of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Lisa Dillon was ejected from a 2002 Chevy Tahoe driven by Mark D. Young, 34, when the SUV left the roadway on the right side. The trooper said Young apparently topped a hill and the Tahoe went sideways, then the driver overcorrected, sending the truck out of control. Young then hit a ditch, went airborne, and collided with a tree. Young received only minor injuries. Withers said charges are pending in connection with the incident.
