The sheriff’s department has arrested a 32-year-old Dowelltown woman and charged her with eight counts of fraudulent use of a debit card.

Terra Elaine Locklear is accused of withdrawing more than $1,400 using a stolen prepaid debit card in eight times in different transactions within a span of a few minutes at Walmart on June 25. The case was investigated by a sheriff's department detective.

Sheriff Patrick Ray said Locklear used the stolen card to purchase three lollipops and three Pepsi Colas in separate transactions at the self-checkout, getting $100 in cash back each time. She also used the card to withdraw $403 from an ATM and to purchase a money order in the amount of $401.

Her bond was set at $16,000, and she will appear in court on July 16.

22-year-old Joseph Matthew Giles, Jr. was charged with forgery theft of property under $500 on July 5.

Ray said that Giles stole a check and forged the account holders name on it. He then passed it for $40 at a local store. The case was investigated by a sheriff's department deputy.

His bond was set at $6,500 and he will appear in court on July 23.

27-year-old Dustin Matthew Brewer was charged with being a fugitive from justice on July 10.

Ray said that a National Crime Information Center (NCIC) check on Brewer showed that he is wanted in Livingston, Michigan for breaking and entering and unlawful driving away. The case was investigated by a sheriff's department detective.

His bond was set at $200,000 and he will appear in court on July 16.

34-year-old Austin Neal Whitworth of Fredericktown, Missouri was charged with being a fugitive from justice on July 9.

Sheriff Ray said a deputy arrested Whitworth on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a second degree domestic assault from St. Francois County, Missouri. Missouri authorities have confirmed that they will extradite.

His bond was set at $200,000.

52-year-old Reginald Hill Miller of Alexandria was charged with two counts of domestic assault on July 6.

Ray said a deputy dispatched to a Walker Creek Road home in reference to a domestic assault spoke with the complainant, who said that she and her father, Miller had gotten into an argument and that Miller had picked her up and thrown her down twice before her brother entered the room and restrained him. The victim said she then ran outside and called police.

Miller's son reportedly told the officer that he was in his bedroom when he heard his sister screaming "get off me." He ran into his sister's room and found Miller standing over her. The man then grabbed Miller to restrain him so his sister could get away. After he let Miller go, he allegedly began punching his son and saying he should shoot him, because he didn't deserve to live. Ray said Miller hit his son in the face several times, causing lacerations and bruising.

Miller’s bond was set at $5,000, and he will appear in court on July 16.

30-year-old Michael Brandon Redmon of McMinnville was charged with assaulting a correctional officer on July 10 while incarcerated at the county jail.

The sheriff said Redmon began causing problems in the recreational yard of the jail, and when he did not return to the jail annex as instructed, a correctional officer escorted him back inside.

Before being placed in a cell, Redmon allegedly grabbed the correctional officer and tore his shirt. Ray said that although the officer wasn't hurt, the incident caused him to fear imminent bodily injury. Since this is the second time Redmon has assaulted a member of the jail staff, he has been transported to another county jail to be housed.

His bond was set at $2,500, and he will appear in court on July 15.
