Woman kidnaped at gun point

A Warren County man has been arrested after allegedly bursting into a home on Patterson Road Sunday and kidnaping his nude girlfriend at gunpoint.
According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, 21 year-old Donta Lamar Weir of Willow Way, McMinnville is charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated kidnaping, two counts of aggravated assault, and theft of property over $500.
Ray said that deputies were dispatched to Patterson Road last Sunday where Weir reportedly came to the home, beat on the door, and then kicked it in.
The homeowner was reportedly  standing behind the door with a weapon when Weir kicked his way into the residence, and the gun was reportedly knocked out of the homeowner's hand when he was struck by the door.
Weir allegedly grabbed the gun and demanded to know where his girlfriend was.
The homeowner reportedly fled the home.
 Weir then allegedly located his girlfriend inside the residence, took her in the nude at gun point, forced her into his vehicle and left the scene, returning to Warren County.
Detectives were called in and an investigation was conducted.
Weir was later located and taken into custody in Warren County.
The gun was also recovered.
Weir was reportedly charged with aggravated burglary for kicking the door of the home in and forcing his way into the residence.
He was additionally charged with aggavated assault of the homeowner, as he allegedly struck and struggled with the male victim until he took a .22 caliber handgun away from him.
The victim alleges that Weir pointed the gun at him after he took possession of the weapon.
He was also charged with theft, for taking the homeowner’s gun, and aggravated kidnaping charges resulted when he forced the female to leave with him at gun point without allowing her to put on any clothes or get any belongings.
Weir allegedly fired the weapon out the window of the vehicle while driving down the road.
Weir was also charged with aggravated assault of the female victim, as he allegedly struck her several times, leaving her eye swollen and bruised.
He was also charged with theft of property over $500 for taking  the handgun belonging to the male victim without the victim's consent.
Meanwhile, 30 year-old Joseph Elwood Selby of Jim Garrett Road, Monterey is charged with sexual battery.
Sheriff Ray reports that Selby was swimming at Floating Mill Park on July 2, when he allegedly touched a 12 year-old female on the buttocks several times in a sexual manner, making her feel uncomfortable and afraid.
His bond is $10,000 and he will be in court on July 14.
Marty Dean Lamb of John Henry Demps Road, Sparta, 39, is charged with filing a false police report.
Ray reports that Lamb called 911 and reported that he had been robbed at gunpoint at Sligo Marina on July 3.
After investigation, Lamb admitted to deputies that he had made up the story.
According to Ray, 911 received a call from Lamb stating that he had picked up a female on Highway 70 and that he took her to Sligo Marina.
While in the parking lot, Lamb said two men jumped him, robbed him, and stole his medication and Ipod.
Deputies responded and detectives were called to join them.
During questioning Lamb reportedly admitted to detectives that he had been lying about the incident.
Lamb said the reason he made the false report was because he had earlier pawned his daughter's Ipod, was ashamed, and did not want the girl to find out.
Lamb allegedly told deputies that he thought that he could simply file a report and that no further investigation would take place.
His bond is $5,000 and he will be in court on July 14.
John Patrick Sanders of Brandywine Pointe, Old Hickory, 45, was issued a citation for leaving the scene of an accident.
Ray reports that Sanders was stopped on Highway 56 north near the overlook on June 29 by a deputy who was responding to a possible motor vehicle accident in which the driver had left the scene.
The officer questioned Sanders, who initially lied about the accident but then admitted to running into a guardrail on Hurricane bridge where workers were present.
Sanders will be in court on August 3.
Johnny Darrell Murphy, 40, is charged with violation of the registration law, violation of financial responsibility, violation of the seatbelt law, and driving an unregistered vehicle.
Sheriff Ray reports that on Friday, July 1, Murphy was stopped by a deputy because he had expired tags on the vehicle.
Murphy, who was not wearing a seatbelt, also could not provide proof of insurance or registration.
His court date is August 3rd.
Omar Ernesto Rodriguez, 22, was issued a citation for driving without a license.
He was further charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
Sheriff Ray reports that Rodriguez was involved in an automobile accident on Banks Pisgah Road in which a fence was damaged. Rodriguez left the scene.
His bond is $2,500 and he will be in court on July 14.
