Turkey day is just around the corner on Thursday, November 28. You do know you’re supposed to over indulge on the scrumptious food that day and not feel guilty about it don’t you? That is my philosophy about the whole matter so don’t seat it. You’ll get over the meal in a few weeks anyway. On that day be sure to thank God and the bounty of blessings He gives you every day and also the opportunity for you and your family being together.

Sad news for those of us that like to eat at Foutch’s Family Restaurant in McMinnville on Sparta Street as the restaurant has been sold. Billy Foutch, the owner, is retiring due to his wife’s bad health. It may be a week or two before Billy is out of the restaurant entirely.

Those that burn wood always keep a watch on it as so many homes can catch fire from a wood burning stove, too. You can’t be too careful when it comes to fire.

We have some families to keep in prayer: Bernie Braswell, David Sneed, John Holland, and Johnny Kennedy. Some people to keep in prayer: Charlei Mai Daniels, Tim Howes, Helen Nixon and Dr. J.C. Wall.

Try and so a good deed for someone this week and be expecting one in return. You’ll be showing the love of Jesus and really isn’t that what we should be doing?
