Funeral services for Alice Faye Farish Iverlett, 68, of Smithville were held March 1 at Love- Cantrell Funeral Home.  Burial followed at Burton-Ponder Cemetery.
She passed away surrounded by her loving family Feb. 26 at her home on Center Hill Lake.
She was born October 12, 1945 in Philadelphia, Mississippi to proud parents Robert and Dorothy Farish of Noxapater, Mississippi.
She grew up  on the family farm near Noxapater, Mississippi, attended Noxapater Elementary and High School and graduated in 1963.
Following her high school graduation, Alice Faye entered college at Mississippi State College for Women in Columbus, Mississippi where she received her degree in Mathematics in May 1967.
After graduation, she moved to Franklin and became employed as a mathematics teacher with Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools. After her retirement in 1993 from Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, she and her family relocated from Nashville to live full time at their lake cabin on Center Hill Lake.
In 1996, Alice Faye began a 15-year career with the Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency, where she worked in youth education.
Alice Faye was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Dorothy Bane Farish and Robert O. Farish of Noxapater, Mississippi.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Spencer Iverlett of Smithville; son Raymond Neal Iverlett of Murfreesboro; granddaughters Briley and Brennan Iverlett of Murfreesboro; and brother R. Wayne (Helen Ruth) Farish of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Love-Cantrell Funeral Home, Smithville, was in charge of arrangements.
