Funeral services for Alice Faye Farish Iverlett, 68, of Smithville were held March 1 at Love- Cantrell Funeral Home. Burial followed at Burton-Ponder Cemetery.She passed away surrounded by her loving family Feb. 26 at her home on Center Hill Lake.She was born October 12, 1945 in Philadelphia, Mississippi to proud parents Robert and Dorothy Farish of Noxapater, Mississippi.She grew up on the family farm near Noxapater, Mississippi, attended Noxapater Elementary and High School and graduated in 1963. Following her high school graduation, Alice Faye entered college at Mississippi State College for Women in Columbus, Mississippi where she received her degree in Mathematics in May 1967.After graduation, she moved to Franklin and became employed as a mathematics teacher with Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools.
