Jessica Lee Hobbs, 33, of Smithville, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 8 at St. Thomas DeKalb Hospital.
She was born January 26, 1985 to her parents, Jerry Lee and Judy Hendrixson Johnson. She worked at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital as a Radiographer/X-ray Technician and she loved animals.
Jessica was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilson and Emma Lee Johnson, Carmon and Louise Hendrixson and Martha Caldwell.
She leaves to cherish her memory, husband, Joshua Hobbs of Smithville; son, Bentlee Hobbs of Smithville; mother, Judy Johnson of Smithville; father, Jerry “Buckwheat” Johnson of Smithville; brother, Chad Johnson of Smithville; five nieces and nephews, Brantley, Makira, Emma, Aspen and Carmon Johnson; special cousin, Trista Ashburn.
Funeral service celebrating Jessica’s life was held Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Randy Gregory and Michael Hale officiating and burial following in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers were Chad Johnson, Shaun Bain, Thomas Hutchins, Gregory Hobbs, Adam Hobbs and Wilburn Hobbs.
DeKalb Funeral Chapel of Smithville was in charge of the arrangements.
