Patterson faces criminal trespassing charges

A 30-year-old Smithville man was arrested by the sheriff’s department and charged with criminal trespassing after he reportedly would not take “no” for an answer when he was denied entry to a family members Patterson road home on Dec. 30. According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, Bransford Lee Patterson was taken into custody after a deputy responded to a report on an unwanted guest at the residence. Upon arrival, the lawman found Patterson at the home, where the family said he had been beating on the door, wanting to come inside.
