The second annual Gigging for Grads benefit was visited by animal rights activists again this year. Protesters stood at the entrance to the county complex parking lot, where signups for the event were being held, Friday evening displaying signs with messages against the event, which was hosted by the DeKalb County Young Farmers and Ranchers. The frog gigging began Friday night at 7 p.m. and ended at 1 a.m. Saturday. Proceeds will fund an agriculture scholarship for a student at DCHS. The team with the heaviest bag of frogs is the winner.
