An 18-year-old student at DeKalb County High School has been taken into custody and accused of threatening to blow up the school.

According to Sheriff Patrick Ray, Colby Ray Clark has been charged with terrorism hoax. The sheriff said the School Resource Officer was called to a teacher’s classroom on May 12 to investigate the threat. An investigation allegedly determined that Clark had stated that he was going to blow up the high school. Several witnesses reportedly told the SRO they heard Clark make the threat.

His bond was set at $1,500, and he will appear in court on May 19.

Carl Michael Fleming, 61, was charged with aggravated assault on May 10.

Ray said a woman came to the sheriff’s office to report a domestic assault. She reportedly went to her residence on Toad Road to gather some belongings, and she and her husband got into an argument.

He allegedly cursed her, grabbed her keys, and shoved her backwards against a cabinet. When she reached for a phone to call 911, Fleming allegedly grabbed a Glock pistol from a bookcase and warned that if she made the call, she would never leave.

The woman then took her car keys, ran out of the home, and across a field to get away. The woman said as she was running from the house, Fleming fired a shot from the gun.

His bond was set at $10,000.

Jaime Marie Williams, 39, of Old Hickory was charged with public intoxication and cited for simple possession on May 10.

The sheriff said a deputy responding to reports of someone walking in the roadway on Dale Ridge Road found Williams. She allegedly had an odor of alcohol about her person, was very unsteady on her feet, eyes bloodshot and speech slurred.

Williams submitted to, but performed poorly on, field sobriety tasks. A search of her person allegedly revealed a Xanax pill in her wallet. Williams admitted to having the pill without a prescription.

Her bond was set at $1,500, and she will appear in court on May 19.

Jose Alfredo Contreras, 38, was charged with driving under the influence and cited for driving on a suspended license and driving on the wrong side of the roadway on May 15.

Ray said a deputy on routine patrol spotted a Chevy Tahoe leaving its lane of travel. The lawman stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, who proved to be Contreras. He allegedly had an odor of alcohol on his person, and his eyes were bloodshot. He performed poorly on field sobriety tasks. He also submitted to a blood test.

His bond was set at $1,500, and he will appear in court on June 16.
