TWRA, county fire to conduct boating safety course May 16

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) and the DeKalb County Volunteer Fire Department will conduct boating safety education on Saturday, May 16 from 8 a.m.-noon at the DeKalb County Fire Department Main Station at 782 King Ridge Road, Dowelltown. Participants will be required to purchase a Type 600 Boating Safety Exam Permit prior to attending this class. Permits can be purchased from any TWRA licensing agent or online at www.tn.wildlifelicense.com.

 

All Tennessee boat operators born after Jan. 1, 1989, must show the TWRA issued Boating Safety Education Certificate as proof of successful completion of the TWRA Boating Safety Exam. For more information contact Fire Chief Donny Green at 615-464-7176
